The first single, Falling, from my forthcoming album Sudden Solitude

This song, and the album, are inspired by the solitude of losing love, the isolation caused by the pandemic, and the contemplation of mortality that accompanies both. In October 2020, I went to Storm King Art Center, and the leaves were astonishingly beautiful. I thought to myself.. how tragic that a leaf lives its entire green life serving it's tree with nutrients, and serving us with fresh oxygen and cool shade. Then when the leaf has nothing more to give, we revere its ability to die beautifully, without much appreciation for all it has done. In a final act of care, the leaf returns all of its remaining nutrients to the tree, as it slowly changes color and hardens into something the tree no longer recognizes. When I fall, do not brush me to the curb and wait for the snow to add beauty to the bare twigs... rake me in a pile and leap.
